Over the past two nights I watched the Carl Franklin films Devil in a Blue Dress (1995) and One False Move (1992). The still above is from the former and shows Denzel Washington the moment he knows he made a bad decision to get involved aiding a private detective in a missing person’s case. The wonderful cinematography of Tak Fujimoto on full display here as Denzel is enveloped by the screen’s darkness.
Franklin is incredible slept on and should be a household name. I will expand on this when I have some more time, but for now, we here at PseudoIntellectualsDotOrg highly recommend these movies.
